Why Should You Build Greenhouse Dome?

Anyone planning to build a greenhouse should think about why they should build greenhouse dome as opposed to other designs. The dome is excellent for making the best use of space, light and heat. It is striking to look at and encourages consistent gardening results. The average dome greenhouse is going to have either wood or PVC for the frame and fiberglass or heavy duty plastic for the dome. You will find there are handy greenhouse kits available in many different styles and designs. There are advantages and disadvantages to using a kit.

Kits contain everything you need except for your construction tools. In a kit there will be the parts and pieces as well as detailed building instructions. The instructions are extremely important and should be followed to the letter. Even a construction novice can manage to put together a dome greenhouse from a kit. Of course, not everyone likes to use a kit because they want to choose each component seperately. They may want their greenhouse a different size or want to use higher quality materials.

Greenhouse domes are great for most every type of plant. Seedlings will be off to a great start in a dome greenhouse. Make sure to place your greenhouse in an area that gets a substantial amount of morning and evening sunlight. You can also use your greenhouse to keep full grown plants and flowers. Orchids are a popular greenhouse flower. Many people grow fruits and vegetables in their greenhouses. Hothouse tomatoes, for example, are quite popular. You can manage to grow tomatoes from seed all year round thanks to a greenhouse. You can even dry fruit and vegetables in a greenhouse.

When you build greenhouse dome, you've created an oasis in which to give seeds and plants tender loving care. Stepping into a greenhouse is like stepping into a fantasy world. Many people like to go for a lean-to greenhouse they can enter from their house. These greenhouses are often called solariums and are located off the back of some houses. They serve as lounge areas as well as a place to grow plants. The only thing is that a lean-to dome style greenhouse looks unnatural. The dome style looks best in detached greenhouse style. Consider various placements and locations before making your final decision.
