You will also need to have the proper tools and supplies on hand. The least you'll need is a hammer, nails, screws, a screwdriver and a power drill.

When choosing scrap materials, go for wood, aluminum and glass. An old window could be the perfect side or base for your greenhouse. Be creative and look for scrap wood, plastic, PVC and glass that can be used for your purposes. There are plenty of advantages to doing this. One, you're saving a great deal of money because shopping at the scrap yard is substantially cheaper than shopping at the hardware store. Two, you are helping the environment by recycling.
